Galaxy Digital Expands Institutional Staking Services Through Fireblocks Integration
Galaxy Digital (GLXY) is broadening its institutional staking platform by integrating with Fireblocks, a leading crypto custody provider. This move grants over 2,000 financial institutions direct access to Galaxy's staking services through Fireblocks' custody vaults.
Institutional staking—a method of earning yield by validating transactions on blockchain networks—is gaining traction, particularly under the current U.S. administration's crypto-friendly policies. Galaxy reports $2.3 billion in crypto assets under stake, marking this as its third custodial partnership this year after collaborations with Zodia Custody and BitGo.
"The Fireblocks integration aligns with Galaxy's goal to deliver secure, capital-efficient staking solutions where institutions already custody their digital assets," said Zane Glauber, Galaxy's head of blockchain infrastructure.
